Elliot Page’s wife, Emma Portner, posted a sweet message expressing love and support for the actor after he came out as transgender on Tuesday.
Portner, a professional dancer and choreographer, shared Page’s announcement, adding in the caption that she is “so proud” of him.
“Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world,” she wrote. “I also ask for patience & privacy but that you join me in the fervent support of trans life every single day. Elliot’s existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E. Love you so much.”

The “Juno” and “X-Men” star spoke publicly about his gender identity for the first time on Tuesday, telling fans that he will be using the pronouns “he” and “they.”
“I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey,” he wrote. “I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self. I’ve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community.
“Thank you for your courage, your generosity, and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place.”
He currently stars as Vanya Hargreeves in the Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy.” The streaming service is in the process of updating Page’s name across all titles, Variety reported.

During a recent interview on the singer's daytime talk show, Clarkson, 38, spoke with Alicia Keys and author Glennon Doyle about her divorce.
During the chat, the "American Idol" brought up her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, her husband of seven years, calling the process "horrible."
"There are so many hard parts," she explained. "The hardest for me is the kids, that's the hardest for me. I think, as women especially, we're trained ... to take it all on and you can deal with it and you're fine, but it's your babies that you worry about."
Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June, citing "irreconcilable differences” after roughly seven years of marriage. They share daughter River, 6, and son Remington Alexander, 4.
Clarkson praised Doyle's book, "Untamed" and said it made her take stock of her own marriage.
She recalled feeling that her marriage "isn't happiness for both of us," and that both she and Blackstock "deserve better."
According to People, the singer and talk show host has been given primary custody over the kids in an effort to provide stability in the children’s lives. Blackstock, a talent manager, plans to live in Montana while Clarkson continues to work and live in Los Angeles.

In court documents obtained by the outlet, the court ruled that "the level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have a difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them."
As a result, Blackstock will be allowed to visit the children in Los Angeles as well as video chat with them every day at a previously agreed upon time. In addition, the kids will spend their Thanksgiving break with their father and Dec. 19 through Christmas at 2 p.m. as well. Meanwhile, Clarkson get them that afternoon through the end of the New Year’s holiday.

While reflecting on the impact of his past drug abuse on his writing and recording process, MGK recognized two people in his life who were influential in his pursuit for help.
"When you have a partner, mine being Megan [Fox], sitting there with you on those dark nights when you’re sweating and not being able to figure out why you’re so in your head, to help you get out of your head and put it in perspective, that really, really helps," MGK explained about his girlfriend, whom he first met on set of their filmMidnight in the Switchgrass in March and began dating in June.
He also acknowledged blink-182 drummer Travis Barker as a prime mentor in his "grounding" process. The two collaborated on his fifth album Tickets to My Downfall, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 for MGK's first No. 1 album in October. "Travis Barker has been huge in the process of grounding me, because he’s lived it. It’s much different than a priest or something, where I’m like, 'How can you relate to me? It’s easy for you to tell me I can get through it when you’ve never faced these obstacles,'" he noted. "Whereas with Travis it’s like, 'I know for a fact that you went through what I’m going through.'"

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Walt Disney Co said on Tuesday it had consolidated its television studios into two units as the company restructures operations to emphasize streaming media.
Karey Burke, who has been president of ABC Entertainment, will now head the 20th Television unit, Disney said in a statement. Jonnie Davis will continue oversight of the second unit, called ABC Signature.

Elliot Page will continue to play the role of Vanya Hargreeves in “The Umbrella Academy,” the Netflix series about a family of superheroes that’s become one of the streaming service’s biggest hits.
Vanya is a cisgender woman whose superpower involves unleashing force through the use of sound. There are no plans to change the character’s gender, insiders told Variety.
Page, star of films such as “Juno” and the X-Men series, announced he is a gender non-binary transgender person in a heartfelt social media message on Tuesday. Page’s credited name has already been updated on “The Umbrella Academy’s” IMDB page.
Netflix is also in the process of updating Page’s name in the metadata across all titles he is involved with that are available to watch on the streaming service, another insider said. Those changes should start to be reflected throughout Tuesday.
The bulk of the social media reaction to Page’s announcement was positive, with stars such as Miley Cyrus and Kate Mara signaling their support. However, some commentators suggested that the role of Vanya Hargreeves should be recast. The character’s name trended on Twitter below #Elliot.
GLAAD, the LGBTQ advocacy group, pushed back at the notion that Vanya should be recast with a cisgender female actor.
“Trans actors can and do play both trans and cisgender characters. I’m sure Elliot will continue to be brilliant in Umbrella Academy and many different types of roles in the future,” Nick Adams, director of transgender media at GLAAD, told Variety.
“The Umbrella Academy” centers on group of adopted sibling superheroes who team up to solve the mystery of their father’s death while warding off a potential apocalypse. The series ended its second season in July. In November, Netflix renewed “The Umbrella Academy” for a third season.

There’s no denying the chemistry between Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark (Zac C.) on The Bachelorette Season 16. The couple shared a few intimate moments on the ABC reality series. But how does Adams feel about the contestant now that filming has wrapped? As it turns out, the new bachelorette recently opened up about Zac C. So here’s what she said and what to expect from the pair moving forward.

When Adams replaced Clare Crawley as The Bachelorette lead, ABC dropped a new promo trailer to tease the rest of the season. The preview hinted at a few blossoming relationships. And at one point, Zac C. told Adams he was falling in love.
“Tayshia, I’m falling in love with you,” Zac C. said, looking straight into the bachelorette’s eyes.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight from November 2020, Adams was asked about the moment with Zac C. Of course, the lead wasn’t able to give away any details. But she shared her thoughts on the contestant.
“[Zac C.] is someone that has depth to him that was willing to go to those places,” Adams said. “I’m telling you right now, these guys are vulnerable. They’re open, they’re honest, they’re real.”

Back in September 2020, host Chris Harrison revealed Zac C. would have a “heartfelt story” to tell on The Bachelorette Season 16. Now, it seems the ABC reality series is gearing up for the big moment.
In the Nov. 24 episode of The Bachelorette, Zac C. started opening up to Adams. He admitted he was “nervous” around the lead. He also shared what he was looking for in a marriage partner.
“Life happens. It’s how you work as a team to get through those things. It’s not always going to be a hot tub under the stars,” Zac C. told Adams. “But that’s actually what I’m craving in a relationship — I need that rock.”
Adams also revealed how she felt about her suitor after giving him the group date rose. “Zac and I have chemistry,” she said. “That’s intriguing to me because I want to get to know more about him. But it also feels very comfortable, like we’ve known each other for a while.”

Meanwhile, Zac C. and Adams will continue to grow their relationship in The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 8. According to ABC’s synopsis, the couple will go on a one-on-one date and take wedding photos. The moment will make Adams remember her previous marriage and divorce. But luckily, Zac C. will be there to “show up” for Adams, evening opening up about “his own traumatic history and his incredible strength of character to forge ahead.”
For now, Bachelor Nation fans will have to see what Zac C. says to Adams on The Bachelorette. But it’s possible the cast member will share details about his previous marriage and history of substance abuse.
In an interview with the Reading Eagle from 2014, Zac C. revealed he was addicted to alcohol and prescription drugs. Then after getting married in his 20s, he was arrested for crack possession and driving while intoxicated. But now, Zac C. is sober and dedicates his life to help other recovering addicts. In 2017, he co-founded Release Recovery, which provides transitional living for individuals after rehab.
Wherever Zac C. and Adams’ conversation takes them on The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 8, it seems the one-on-one date will make the couple stronger. According to Bachelor Nation spoiler king, Reality Steve (Steve Carbone), Adams picks Zac C. over Ben Smith in The Bachelorette finale.
That said, Reality Steve claimed Adams and Zac C. did not get engaged on the show. He also wasn’t able to confirm whether the couple is still together.
“As for where they stand now, that’s anybody’s guess,” Reality Steve wrote in the Nov. 4 blog. “Some people have told me they aren’t together, some have told me they still are but it’s not that solid, and some have said it’s never gonna last.”
As always, Bachelor Nation fans will just have to wait and see what happens between Zac C. and Adams on The Bachelorette Season 16. So stay tuned. New episodes air Tuesdays on ABC.
