Following the death of Dustin Diamond on Monday due to stage 4 lung cancer, the actor’s costars from NBC’s iconic high school sitcom Saved by the Bell took to social media to remember the actor as “kind,” “smart,” a “gentleman,” and a cut-up on-set. “I’m deeply saddened by the news of my old co-star @dustindiamond passing,” Tiffani Thiessen posted to Instagram Monday. “Life is extremely fragile and it’s something we should never take for granted. God speed Dustin.” Wrote Mario Lopez, “Dustin, you will be missed my man. The fragility of this life is something never to be taken for granted. Prayers for your family will continue on…”
“Dustin was my first onscreen kiss,” Tori Spelling, who played Screech’s love interest Violet Bickerstaff on SbtB. “He welcomed me with open arms onto the set of Saved by the Bell. As one can imagine, being the newbie on a hit show was overwhelming for a 14-year-old girl. He not only showed me around but made sure I was always ok. Such a young gentleman. He was kind, smart, and always making everyone laugh.”
Lark Voorhies, who portrayed Lisa Turtle, Screech’s long-time crush, on the show, remember Diamond to Entertainment Weekly. “Words cannot express the grief that I am feeling right now. Dustin and I had a warm and special friendship, he was a caring gentleman, and my memories of him will always be cherished,” she wrote. “I am so very sorry he is gone. But it’s exceptionally sad for his close loved ones who have do deal with his tragic death and their own great loss. My heart goes out to them at this trying time.”

Windy City blow-in Anna Redman is fanning the flames of fury on “The Bachelor.”
Proving that all is not fair in love and the tug of war for Bachelor Matt James’ heart, Anna, 24, accused fellow contestant Brittany Galvin of allegedly being an escort to wealthy men in Chicago. Brittany, 23, is one of the five women that have been newly added to James’ pool of pretty wannabe paramours. She denied the accusation.
“People have gone out of their way to find me and tell me, ‘Oh, my God, watch out for this girl,’ ” Anna said of Brittany to “Queen” Victoria Larson during Episode 4 on January 25.
Underscoring her newest rival’s purported penchant for “entertaining men for money,” Anna claimed, “I’d heard rumors that she may be an escort.”

Brittany Galvin receives a rose from Matt James despite Anna's claims that she might be an escort in Chicago.
Although we’ll have to wait and see what fate lies ahead for Anna and her loose lips, the blabbering blond bombshell is really just a “small town girl . . . looking for a man who will take her as the open book that she is — the good, the bad and the ugly,” according to her official “Bachelor” bio.
Although she’s currently reppin’ Chi-town, Anna is an Owatonna, Minnesota, native. As a kid, the would-be prime time TV star’s parents endearingly nicknamed her “Hollywood,” owing to her affinity for chic scarves and oversized sunglasses.
After spending her teenage years cheerleading for her high school and chilling with friends at the local bowling alley and Applebee’s, Anna attended Loyala University in Maryland.
2. She’s a copywriter.
While she’s done it all, from working on highway construction in her home state to VIP waitressing at one of Chicago’s hot spots, Anna is now employed as a bona fide copywriter for Rational — a digital marketing consultant agency. “My experience has made me believe that the most persuasive storytelling should lead with key consumer insights while letting culture’s vein pulse through the creative work,” she says in her LinkedIn bio.
“The Bachelor’s” Anna has become a pivotal player in the most recent season.ABC
3. She’s a Gemini.
Depending on your personal feelings about Geminis, Anna’s astrological sign can be seen as either a good or bad omen for her and Matt’s (a Sagittarius born Dec. 5, 1991) compatibility.
Celebrating her 25th trip around the sun this coming May 28, the self-professed “experience junkie” is all about living loud, fast and free. Seeking a perfect energy match for her “Gemini vibes” Anna told ABC she needs someone “who is a match for her intellect but will also always want to keep life fun.”
Letting her wild side preside, the mouth-almighty Anna once convinced a pilot to let her fly the plane over the bluffs of Minnesota for 15 minutes.
Show host Chris Harrison admitted as much while introducing Matt’s pretty picks in a YouTube video in December.
“Looks a little bit like Hannah [Brown],” Harrison said of Anna’s resemblance to the “Bachelor”/”Bachelorette” alum. “Maybe a Hannah B., Trista Sutter vibe to her.”
Their twinning wasn’t lost on Twitter watchers either:
5. She’s hip to the sip.
The Chi-town transplant is anything but shy about her love for wine and cocktails. And that’s no shade, because who’s shy about loving a glass or two these days?
Prince Harry on Monday accepted an apology and damages from the publisher of British tabloid The Mail on Sunday and its online version, MailOnline, in a libel lawsuit relating to articles about his relationship with the British armed forces.
Harry sued Associated Newspapers for libel over two articles published in October which claimed he had snubbed the Royal Marines after stepping down as a senior royal.
The articles claimed that Harry had "not been in touch" with the force since his last appearance as an honorary Marine in March, and that military leaders were considering replacing him as Captain General of the Royal Marines.
Harry had served for a decade in the British army. His lawyers said in court documents that he was "frustrated and saddened" because the articles would diminish his credibility with veterans.
Harry and his wife, Meghan, stepped down as working royals and moved to the U.S. in early 2019. His honorary military titles were put on hold, and they were due to be reviewed in March as part of the monarchy’s review of the couple’s departure arrangements.
Lawyer Jenny Afia, representing Harry, said the publisher has accepted that allegations that he had turned his back on the force were false.
The articles were "baseless, false and defamatory" and "constituted not only a personal attack upon the Duke’s character but also wrongly brought into question his service to this country," Afia said.
She said Harry was "proud to have served in the British armed forces for 10 years in Her Majesty’s name" and "has maintained active links with those forces ever since and will continue to do so in the future."
After the brief remote hearing, a spokesman for Harry said his "commitment to the military community is unquestionable."
The Mail on Sunday printed an apology in December but it wasn't enough to stop the lawsuit.
Harry will donate the damages to the Invictus Games Foundation, a charity for wounded or sick servicemen and women that he founded, she added. The amount of the damages was not disclosed.
Separately, Meghan is also suing Associated Newspapers for invasion of privacy and copyright infringement over articles that published portions of a letter she wrote to her father, Thomas Markle, after her marriage to Harry in 2018.

The actress named Manson, real name Brian Warner, in an Instagram post detailing the allegations. She has previously spoken about being the survivor of domestic violence but until this point had never called out her abuser. The pair were known to have had a relationship in 2007, when she was 19 and her was 38, and they were briefly engaged in 2010.
In response to Wood’s accusations, at least three other women have posted their own allegations against Manson on Instagram, one of whom has since deleted her post. Deadline has contacted Manson’s reps for comment; his team have denied similar accusations in the past.
In the post, which is in full below, Wood says Manson began grooming her as a teenager and that she was “brainwashed and manipulated into submission” by the singer. She says she wants to “expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him”.
Alongside his work as the leader singer of the band Marilyn Manson, he has also acted in numerous films including David Lynch’s Lost Highway, and the TV series Sons Of Anarchy, and Salem. He was also reportedly the inspiration for Johnny Depp’s performance as Willy Wonka in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and is the godfather to the actor’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp.
Wood has been a prominent activist for domestic violence survivors, including penning the Phoenix Act domestic violence bill which was passed into law in California in 2019. She has said in the past she was raped on two occasions and detailed being a survivor of domestic violence, but had denied that Manson was her abuser.
Evan Rachel Wood — the actor, singer and activist — has alleged that Marilyn Manson is the person to whom she has referred over the years when she has talked about being a survivor of domestic violence. Wood and Manson’s relationship became public in 2007 when she was 19 and he was 38. They became engaged in 2010, but broke up later that year.
In an Instagram post on Monday morning, and in a statement to Vanity Fair, Wood said, “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”
Wood began talking about being a survivor of rape and domestic violence in a Rolling Stone article in 2016, and has focused her activism on those issues. In 2019, Wood created the Phoenix Act, a bill that extends the statute of limitations on domestic violence to five years from three. California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the bill into law in October of 2019, and it took effect in January 2020. Wood testified before the California Senate at the time, saying that her abuser had hidden his drug and alcohol addiction from her, and “had bouts of extreme jealousy, which would often result in him wrecking our home, cornering me in a room, and threatening me.”
“I mustered the courage to leave several times, but he would call my house incessantly and threaten to kill himself,” Wood said at the time. “On one occasion, I returned to try and defuse the situation, he cornered me in our bedroom, and asked me to kneel. Then he tied me up by my hands and feet. Once I was restrained he beat me and shocked sensitive parts of my body with a torture device called a violet wand. To him it was a way for me to prove my loyalty. The pain was excruciating. It felt like I left my body and a part of me died that day.”
In the fall, Wood told Variety, “When I started being an activist, I really asked myself, where do I even start? So the place that I usually start, because I feel like I’m going to do the most good, are the places that I have direct experience. I think that’s why I’ve done so much on domestic violence, and sexual assault.”
Because of Wood’s public comments, which has narrowed down the timing of these alleged incidents, journalists and the public have wondered whether he was the person Wood was talking about. “Why Is Nobody Talking About Marilyn Manson’s ‘Fantasy’ of Killing Evan Rachel Wood?” read a Glamour headline in March 2018 — the piece pointed out that Manson had once said about Wood in a 2009 interview: “I have fantasies every day about smashing her skull in with a sledgehammer.”
