Paramount+ will also be introducing a new six-part, unscripted series from director Dave Grohl. From Cradle to Stage, inspired by his mom Virginia Hanlon Grohl's book From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars, will feature a famous performer in every episode and their mom -- as well as the Grohls -- as they explore the unique relationship between a rocker and a mother.
“We are thrilled to re-invent some of our most storied and impactful music franchises, including Behind the Music and Yo! MTV Raps, for Paramount+,” said Bruce Gilmer, ViacomCBS president of music, music talent, programming and events in a press statement. “In addition, we will partner with some of the biggest names across the music industry to bring exclusive and unique content to the platform, such as Dave Grohl’s Cradle to Stage based on his mom’s critically-acclaimed book, and many more to come.”
ViacomCBS’ existing CBS All Access will be rebranded as Paramount+ on March 4, 2021, and will be available online at ParamountPlus.com, via the Paramount+ app for iOS and Android and across a number of platforms, including smart TVs, connected-TV devices, online, mobile, gaming consoles, and leading OTT providers.
